rule #31

Learn to enjoy feeling good just as much as tasting good.

in the pink #85

If I know how much I should be eating, I can know how much I should be burning. Like how many muffins can I really squeeze in without it making it hard to squeeze into my jeans?

rule #10

Find fruits & vegetables that you love and ways to dress them up. It sure makes eating them easier.

rule #2

Embrace that skinny, curvy, compact, or bootylicious body of yours. There's no getting around it. And enjoy your memorial day! It's officially summer!

my rules [so far at least]

1] Accept the fact that no matter how skinny I get, I am not going to look like a leggy, towering supermodel. 4] Cardio, Cardio, Cardio. 6] Make a plan. 7] Change your mind-set to that of continuous, gradual improvement. 8] Eat every 3-4 hours. 9] Don’t get tricked into thinking that caring for your body is just about your body. 11] Don’t hang on every subtle jump on the scale. 12] Do not keep baked goods in the house. 15] Never, never, never compare yourself to others. 16] Before indulging a hankering, take a nap or drink a glass of water.  19] Don’t eat the same thing every day 22] Always shop with a grocery list. 23] Listen to that amazing body of yours. 24] Eat foods that you love. 29] Do something hard every day. 32] Always leave a few bites on your plate. 34] Don’t get tricked into thinking being healthy isn’t any fun. 38] Set your pace with breakfast. 40] Don’t eat until you’re hungry. 42] Pack in the Protein. 46] Change it up. 47] Do what works for you. 51] No Guilt. 54] Get what you need from food, and move on. 55] Learn the difference between feeling stuffed & feeling satisfied.  56] Fake it ‘til you make it. 57] Reward yourself.  63] Learn to be flexible. 66] No stuffing, shoveling, or snarling. 71] No off limit foods. 72] Don’t let holidays and special events ruin everything you’ve worked so hard for. 81] Bite the bullet. 93] No hiding in baggy clothes. 96] Love your body no matter where you are on the scale.

rule #40

Don't eat until you're hungry. Seems like a no-brainer right?

rule #42

Pack in the protein. I've learned that I feel better & stay slimmer when I get a little chicken breast, peanut butter, or some legumes mixed in my meals.

rule #8

Eat every 3-4 hours. A little snack keeps me from getting too hungry & helps me eat less at meal times.

rule #51

No guilt. Give yourself permission to treat yourself every now and then. Enjoy it. And let it end there.

rule # 16

Before indulging a hankering, take a nap or drink a glass of water. Most of the time I'm not really hungry, just thirsty or tired.

rule #71

No off limit foods. Too many rules make jane a dull girl [and set her up for crazy cravings & binges].

rule #19

Don't eat the same thing every day. blah.

rule #57

Reward yourself. I need a little motivation.

rule #23

Listen to that amazing body of yours.

rule #6

Make a plan. I have the best chance of getting in all my workouts if I decide beforehand when, where, & how it's going to happen.

rule #22

Aways shop with a grocery list. When I shop on the fly it's too easy to start thinking I need those chocolate covered hoohas and doodads and get home with zilch when it comes to a real meal.

rule #55

Learn the difference between feeling stuffed & feeling satisfied.

rule #15

Never, never, never compare yourself to others.

rule #9

Don't get tricked into thinking that caring for your body is just about your body. It serves your mind, emotions, & relationships. Give yourself some therapy. Go for a run. Eat an apple. Love your body.

rule #66

No stuffing, shoveling, or snarling. That plate of food will eventually make its way into your mouth in a civilized way. If you're not actually starving to death, don't eat like it.
